Luis Trenker - actor and mountaineering enthusiast - was a huge fan of Holzhacker products. He has written a personal message on the picture: “Go forth, Holzhacker sends its regards!”

In the 1950s, Turl Jelinek was a very well-known cab driver from Vienna who sent the following message to company founder Robert Schrenk in 1958: “With heartfelt gratitude, I can confirm that the bottle of Holzhacker rubbing alcohol you gave to me has been of great value on my journeys.” The picture itself also has a caption: “Dedicated with the greatest of respect, Turl Jelinek.”

Holzhacker has been represented at many trade fairs, something which required the right product presentation. To draw as much attention as possible to the green colour of the rubbing alcohol, the product was presented against a gold-coloured cloth as a backdrop; there was a sharp focus on the details even in the early days.
